Hey, Lykkers! If you've ever stood in front of the mirror, curling wand in hand, dreading the heat damage you're about to inflict on your poor hair... same. I love a good curl, but not at the cost of fried ends and hours of styling.
So, like any curious beauty lover, I jumped on the viral trend wagon and tried three heatless curling techniques everyone's raving about online.
Spoiler: only one gave me curls so good I didn't even touch my curling iron the next day. Let's dive into each method, how to actually do it, and which one came out on top!
The Look: Loose, soft waves—hello effortless chic.
How to Do It:
- Start with slightly damp hair (not dripping!).
- Place your bathrobe belt over your head like a crown.
- Split your hair in two and wrap each side around the belt, working away from your face.
- Secure with scrunchies and leave overnight.
- In the morning, carefully take it down and use your fingers to gently loosen the waves.
How It Went:
This one was pretty easy and definitely gentle. The curls looked soft and flowy, but they didn't last all day on my straight hair. Also, sleeping with the belt on was a bit awkward—felt like I had a mini snake on my head!
The Look: Bouncy, tighter curls with more structure.
How to Do It:
- Lightly dampen your hair.
- Roll sections of hair around clean socks, starting from the ends up to your roots.
- Tie or secure the ends.
- Sleep in them and unravel in the morning.
How It Went:
Honestly? It worked better than I expected. My curls were tighter and had more volume. But it was kind of a pain to wrap the hair neatly, and the socks made it harder to sleep comfortably.
The Look: Defined, springy curls that looked like I just left the salon.
How to Do It:
- Start with damp hair and apply a bit of mousse.
- Take small sections and wrap each around a flexi rod.
- Bend the rods to keep them in place.
- Sleep on them or leave for at least 6–8 hours.
- Carefully remove and fluff with your fingers.
How It Went:
This was the clear winner! The curls were super defined, lasted two days, and made my hair look like it had a blowout. Flexi rods might take a bit more time to put in, but the results are so worth it.
If you want curls that actually stay and look polished without heat, flexi rods are the way to go. They gave me the longest-lasting, most beautiful results of all three.
So, Lykkers, ready to ditch the heat and wake up to dreamy curls? Try these out and tell me which one gives you your perfect curl moment!
